The House built in 1899 still retains it's original French character and charm, the chambers a little more modern, are at the rear of the property with access to a fruit tree lined garden, apples, pears, cherries, peaches and nuts in around half an acre, there is a beautiful patio area which overlooks the swimming pool and is perfect for relaxing and sipping the local burgundy wine.
Tailly, which is 2 km from Meursault, is a picturesque village with it's fields of sunflowers, woodland walks, and a delight for birdwatching. Nearby, there are fishing lakes, also there is a lake for windsurfing, and kayaking. For bikers there are so many places to visit within minutes. Not too far away you can horse ride, and play golf, (9 and 18 holes) or you can just relax and take in the fantastic views.
We have two bedrooms, a double bedroom/en suite and a twin bedroom/en suite, it is possible to add an extra single put-u-up bed or a cot in the double room only, if necessary. Also for families with more than one child, both rooms can be accessed via an internal door.
The Double bedroom has a double size French sleigh bed, private bathroom/shower room.
The Twin bedroom has two single size French sleigh beds, private bathroom/shower room.
Both bedrooms have comfortable sitting areas, tea and coffee making facilities, TV and hairdryer.
A large comfortable Dining Room/Lounge area is available for our guests to relax, with many fiction and non-fiction books provided in the library area.
Breakfast is served in the Dining Room, or in the garden if preferred, weather permitting. Fresh farm eggs, French bread, cereals, pastries and home made jams and preserves, a selection of fresh fruit, with fruit juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
The swimming pool was installed in September, 2009 and is open from 1st May to 30th September inclusive from 09.00hr to 21.00hr. In the case of inclement weather, the swimming pool will be closed for safety reasons. Towels are provided.
